Thank you for taking the time to e-mail me. I always welcome individuals becoming more active in their government and appreciate having the benefit of your views.
As your elected Representative, I give your concerns the consideration they deserve and will work hard to make sure your opinions are weighed carefully. You should know I take note of each constituent contact with my office. By passing your thoughts on to me, you have provided a valuable service in keeping me informed as to your concerns.
People in our district feel strongly on both sides of the issue of gay marriages. While I am sorry you were not happy with this issue, we may have common ground on many other issues, so I hope you will feel free to contact me on future concerns.
Although you did a good job of explaining your reasons, there are many people in our district who feel strongly about wanting this on the ballot. Some of their valid concerns stem from the judicial actursm we have seen escalate in the last few years. This bill will give the public an added measure of assurance that the will of the people will be respected.
Thank you again for your e-mail.
