  • Sadly, I picked the correct team to win the Stanley Cup.  Overall I went just under 50% in my picks.  Not bad considering I picked based on if I liked or hated a team.
  • I swear I had something humorous to write about the other day, but I didn’t have the time to write it up and now I’ve forgotten what it was.  Stupid work stealing way to much of my time and my thoughts.
  • A few weeks ago I finished reading the Troy trilogy by David Gemmell.  I was thrilled to have found such an exciting author and was looking forward to keeping an eye out for anything new from him.  It was a real downer to find out that he died before completing the last book of the series and that his wife finished it for him.  I could tell that something was off in the writing, but didn’t find out he was dead until I completed the book.  I still plan to read his earlier stuff, but it was strange feeling, mourning someone you’ve never met and know only through a few hundred thousand words they had written.
  • * My kids call “Told You So” the “Smart Car Song” because they think the beginning of the song sound like a little car driving through the crowded streets of a city.  After they said it, I can’t disagree with them.
