• It looks like my RSS feed was corrupted. Personally I blame Cynthia Davis, since I think is was a post about her that corrupted it.
• Metaphors are dangerous.  I used the phrase “fallen on deaf ears” in a recent email which caused some people to “get their panties in a bunch” and claim that I “threw them under the bus”.  I apologized and stated that I should have said “slipped through the cracks” instead of “fallen on deaf ears”.  In the future I think I will start using mixed metaphors instead so I can avoid “throwing a bunch of deaf people on a bus and their fallen panties slipping into other people’s cracks”.

• McCain’s concession speech was probably the best speech he gave during the campaign. Had he spoken more like that on the campaign trail and in the debates instead of the vile stuff he was spewing, he may have stood a better chance at getting elected.
• Is it just me, or did the first part of Obama’s speech sound like he was accepting an Emmy?
• The second part of Obama’s speech was what I’ve come to expect from him.  I’m cautiously optimistic that he will be an effective president.
• It’s been 20 years since we’ve had a president that I liked, and had I known more about him, I wouldn’t have liked that one either.  I’m wondering how long it will be before I’m think Obama is one of the worst presidents ever (although W has set the bar pretty high there).
